Teal
Following three recent scams on Pigeon Watch we have decided to implement a change to the Other Sales and Wanted sections on Pigeon Watch. This will not affect existing members. However, all new memberships will be required to be a member for 6 months before access to the Trading Post is granted, and for guests the areas are now hidden (you must be logged in to see them). We have not taken this decision lightly, and it will be under review, but following over £1,000 being scammed from members of Pigeon Watch we feel that this is necessary to tackle the increasing threat of internet scammers who are around. Can I say that, whilst this is an excellent idea, can this not be tied in with a minimum post count? Someone could open an 10 accounts, leave them for 6 months and then have access to scam people. Could there not be a 6 month wait, plus a minimum 20 posts?
Beretta28g
My concern would be all the sales posts in "off topic" or somewhere because noobies cant access the relevent forums, its happening now occaisionally as people dont want to register with gun watch. Dunkield
Can I say that, whilst this is an excellent idea, can this not be tied in with a minimum post count? Post count was discussed but dismissed, you can run up posts in no time at all just posting rubbish - you don't have to look too far for evidence of that

Any guns sales posts anywhere other then Gun Watch are removed and the poster asked to post according to the rules.
Teal
I guess I can't get on there then , don't think ive quite been here 6 months :( No - you will be ok and able to use it fine! The 6 month rule only applies to new members who register after today.

daz2202
Good news me finks. I am a member on another forum and they have the same kind of rules. They also have a VIP type area where only members of over 1 year without warnings can enter. This really is a good move and should keep those **** oles out of our community Daz
