The quality of the food brought by the lads was top notch.... but the food Nick made (he was all day at it :good: ) was something else.... Fantastic :good:

I'll try to name the dishes and if there are any mistakes, please let me know and I'll change it

This needs no intro...

During the night Fisherman Mike ran a "country knowledge" quiz

3 lads were equal top so some tie-break questions came out.... The star chef won the quiz (quite rightly as he was in the kitchen most of the meal rushing around making all this superb food.

So here is FM giving Nick his prize of some nice Opticron binoculars.

I couldn't believe it when I arrived and Nick said "Neil, I've got a little present for you". What makes me stand out from the rest of us I was thinking? That bloody shirt certainly helped!

Honestly though, I got a lot of stick over it all evening - all good friendly banter and taken with a smile! I should have seen it coming really!

Those braised Venison thingies - my god they were good! I can't even begin do describe how good! If I could only ever eat one thing for the rest of my life I think they'd be my choice!

I will put names to faces when I get back from shooting later unless somebody has beaten me to it. I ate a couple of those pasties that blunderbuss made for breakfast and it has to be said they are the best hangover cure i've ever had.

Nice pictures Malk and well done on posting them up it must have taken you ages.

We also forgot to mention the vast array of alcohol prepared at home and stored for years that came out for an airing, I think there were at least 8 differing poisons that appeared on the table with Nicks Demi John out as the last one to sample WOW.

This has been said before but I will say it again this was a meal that could not be bought, the variety, quality hospitality were out of this world, I am sure we will do it again, I certainly hope we can do it again.

Well done to everyone involved.

Samphire, wow! I forgot about that, never had that before, what a revelation that was. What about all the starters, the terrines and parfaits and pates and Bakerboy's artisan bread? I'll remember that meal for a long time

Oh god i forgot about that stuff. on melon it was outstanding. sweet with a savory twist. i was going to go back to the kitchen and dive in to the left overs but i thought it would be rude so i drank instead.

I really must read post better as i couldn't work out what assassin bread was.lmao

In your case it is "assasin Bread" if you were to eat it, it could do you in.

I will ensure that at our next meet I will have a gluten free bread available for you.

Here we have them all named and shamed for you dunkield. From the nearest on the right going anti clockwise:

Fisherman Mike

Blunderbuss

njc110381

activeviii

hendersons

silver pigeon 3

stripey 999

bakerboy

thunderbird

brown sauce

unfortunately not in the picture but also around are the malkiserow family

If I have got any of you the wrong way round i'm sorry but i'm pretty rubbish with names at the best of times and with us all having psuedonyms it is quite easy to be confused. Having said that i'm pretty confident i'm right
