rimfire4969
I still can't make my mind up about which gun to buy next. I have found on Guntrader a Silver Pigeon V and a 687 EL for simular money about £1500.00. I have not yet looked long and hard into it, but i think the Silver Pigeon is the newer gun and looks great but i do love the side plates on the EL Any advise please

Beretta make great shotguns so you won't go wrong with either as long as they fit and that can be remedied if they don't.
webber
The 687EL will be the better gun. I have a 687 Gold Pigeon EL. It a really nice gun, its just a pity that my shooting lets it down nowadays. webber
triumphant59
Guess the EL is older, is it multichoke (many aren't) The EL is a prettier gun however wood on a V should be as nice. At 1500 the V is top end and they aren't everyones cup of tea with their petroled action.
butchdickason
As previous posts, the best gun is the one that fits you best. I have an EL, bought it new a good few years back, and of all the guns I have this is the only one I will never sell, have put many thousand of catridges through it without fault, love it. WGD
I've got a Silver Pig IV... in your shoes I would buy the EL.
