blade
Ihave a winchester 101xtr lightweight noticed today when cleaning it the top fireing pin will come forward through the whole in the action when tip the gun forward. Never noticed it doing it before does it mean its broken ? did a 50 bird sporting yesterday and it was ok for the whole round But worried if it falls forward when i close the barrels it will bend or break the pin any ideas please Edited August 31, 2011 by blade
M.I.A
it should recess when you close the action just dont be too harsh when you close up, i would guess that there is a spring missing or broken that pushes the pin back Get it to a gunsmith, unless your happy to take it apart yourself Edited August 31, 2011 by M.I.A

Harnser
Winchester ,Brownings and miruko over and unders do not have sprung loaded strikers on the top barrel ,only the bottom barrel striker is sprung loaded . Your gun seems normal to me . Harnser .
Gordon R
Agreed. Top pin is free floating from memory.
