Good to see another man with taste! And that's a good looking one too... Are you on the Porscheclub GB forum?

Here's mine, with optional scantily clad attachment :good:

(It's OK, she does have a face in real life!)

I'm a PCGB member but go on the forum very rarely. I'm an old Titanic 944 member which preceded the setting up of the register fora by PCGB.

Tell us more please - although I never owned one I am bit of an old skool Ford fan.

I hanker after a Cosworth engined flat front MKII Escort...

The one on the left is a 4 door that I rebuilt from scrap, 1600 xflow with fancy cam and twin 40's. Was always a bit rough and ready but took me to Germany and back one weekend amongst other places.

Middle one is 2door I rebuilt from scrap and then gave to my son for his 17th birthday. He proceeded to turn it back into scrap and is still in the shed waiting surgery.

One on right is another 2 door I rebuilt from scrap. Has a 2litre pinto that has been fiddled with and goes very well. Been all over the 'oppit in it and still do. Not long since had a rebuilt diff and i can now go alarmingly fast and still be able to see.

Also have a Mk1 Capri in the shed that I also rebuilt from scrap (bit of a theme going on here :D) Not finished and haven't touched it for maybe 2 years. Could finish it in a fortnight if I shaped myself. Brand new built fancy engine for it has had 2 xmasses in my dining room so far and a third is rapidly approaching.

Wouldn't mind a Cosworth in any of them, but never been a big fan of Mk2's. Nowt wrong with them, just a bit too modern for my liking.

Oh I dunno, I had a procession of MkI's, MkII's and even MkIII's including an RS Turbo, and of all the Escorts I ran the only one I'd buy again now was the MkII RS2000. For grins per mile that was the one!

PhilP and Sandpiper, you both have the same mania as me. Its dirty at the moment and on SORN but there's a '91 porche turbo 944 (black also) in my garage too.

Only done 90K from new but still has the power to please.

I was thnking I might sell it as its rarely used ???

Probably valueless except to me.

And another! Good stuff. Is it still running, and where in the country are you? I do like a black 944...

Hi sandpiper.

Yes its a runner - in near perfect condition - I'm in Cheshire.

Spose if I sell it I could try the porche club website - to be homest though, I dont think I want a load of 'gawpers'.

It'll probably stay where it is.

Cheers, btw, I like your 'accessories' !!!

I prefer life in the sloooow lane now with my 79 VW camper and early 70's Sprite 400 caravan combo :good::P

Digging the ride fella. Good call on the Oxide, its a good look. Saw a wicked split panel van at the services one year in grey primer awaiting top coat. They'd blown on a few patches in matt black and made it look like something from the Russian front. Seriously cool.

Keep on Dubbing :good:

Also good stuff. Mine's done about 97k now, and I looked at about 10 of them before I bought this one - it was the best by a long way.

I took it into a garage to have something looked at a while ago and one of the lads had to move it away from the lift. He did it slowly and carefully (as I was watching) and when he got out (having moved it 10m or so) he came over to me and said "It's funny how some things really make you smile". He was quite right...

If you do ever consider selling, perhaps you'd let me know? I'm vaguely toying with the idea of upgrading to an S2 or turbo...

Thanks - my accessory pack was surprisingly good value!!

I have seen them cut and shut to be shorter, but I saw one on the motorway the other day that had had a good foot taken off to make it thinner.

You may have seen it at a meet, it was certainly getting a lot of double takes.

Just found a shortened one, very funny

Cut & Shut VW Camper

I think thats called Frosty. Very popular on the scene a few years back. I personally think its an abortion but theres some top class work gone into it. Theres a guy in Folkestone stretched his Bay to put a whacking great V8 in the back. It looks whack but he likes it.

As has been said unusual the red oxide finish but the thing that made me smile was the big alloys with low profile tyres are you shore that you are not hiding a 3 ltr Porshe engine under there.

Nah I wish mate she's a sheep in wolf's clothing, lol!! It's only red oxide coz a) I do't have time or dosh to spray proper and B) I borrowed a couple of tins from work!!
