Muddy Funker
I liked the video. Where do we stand with this type of decoying in the UK? My guess is it would be deemed unethical. Seems to be very effective though.
Hamster
Illegal here. Not impressed personally, putting a live bird through that kind of stress is not for me.

Frenchieboy
That sort of decoying might not be considdered sporting or ethical and would not be my "cup of tea" but if they want rid of some of those big flocks of pigeons they could always send them over to my permissions. corvid wings
just what the uk might look like if the antis have there way, recon we could hit them levels in 2-3 years of not shooting ,by then we will all be paying £10 for a loaf of bread and £20 for a bag of peas, meat will be unaffordable for the common man ,
proTOM1
have you shot pigeons in spain tom, looks brilliant to me Have been lucky to shoot pigeons in a few places ,france, portugal ,spain, argentina and southafrica all in the space of 2 years also doves in 2 of them enjoyed them all but argentina was the best for sporting birds when on the doves . Had ago decoying there for pigeons not woodies but a small ish pigeon ,was only allowed 400 a day which was easy to get as there were thousands ,great fun but prefer me woodies
Fisherman Mike
just what the uk might look like if the antis have there way, recon we could hit them levels in 2-3 years of not shooting ,by then we will all be paying £10 for a loaf of bread and £20 for a bag of peas, meat will be unaffordable for the common man , With respect I doubt that very much. We have more pigeon shooters now than at any time in the past 30 years and yet pigeon numbers have risen steadily in this time. The more we shoot the more they appear to breed. We have similar populations in the UK but they dont flock up to the same extent because of the abundance of food stuffs. When the olive groves start ripening every pigeon in Portugal & spain wants a piece of the action for the short period before harvest. Contrast that with a Rape field which can be grazed for what 8 - 9 months ?
