Cranfield
There could be a little bit of rain on Saturday, that should liven the field up for Sunday, you could have a very good day.
mickymiroku
i hope cranfield is right, i spent hour,s wednesday looking over 2 of my pea field,s and all i could see were a few sitting up a tree, with the odd bird dropping down for a quick feed , they wernt even flying into the field but just dropping down to the ground and then back up again.it seemed pointless having a go, 1 bang and goodbye all. but best of luck anyway, i just hope they are more abliging on sunday. mossy835
not a lot on my pea fields at the moment, and that is over 400 acres.
Cranfield
400 acres of peas !!!! Sounds like a dream , until you try to work out how to cover it. Hopefully, there are some areas they prefer and regularly visit, that is often the case.
Ferretboy111
Just got back from shooting, started at 8 finished by 3 and shot 30 birds to 56 cartridges so not a bad day atal, plenty enough for me especially as i was no way near the flightline as houses were their route. Axel
Hope you had better luck than we did. Despite doing recces on my 11 pea fields, spotting the busiest one and getting this confirmed by a local, we sat in the hide for 2 hours and got nada except for 3 rabbits on the way back to the 4x4. Two other experienced shooters in a near-by field, with whirrly etc also had no luck. They seem to switch back to eating florets in the woods here at a moments notice, or on to some other crop? This is the worst year we've had on peas so far and its a bit puzzling. Good shooting! Axel. Pepe
There is a lot of pigeons about at the moment but they do not seem to be eating on the fields. There is rape, cereals, beans, and barley where we are, but no peas unfortunately.
