oxfordfowler
OK Folks the new Super Vinci semi auto will soon arrive in the UK. There has been plenty of advertising but you can't get one at the moment - except for an FAC version . Would be very interested to know what the combined oracle that is PW thinks about this gun. I for one am waiting for one to arrive at the local gun shop(Francis Lovel's )before I decide whether or not to buy one or go for the tried and tested SBE. Right then over to your good selves comments please. OXF

Markio
Have you picked up a std Vinci? I did at the CLA game fair and i can without doubt say it was awful, hated the looks, hated the balance, hated the feel and from what i could tell in a trade stand i hated the handling. I can't imagine with having a 3.5" chamber this super jobbie will be any less ******* awful.
SirDread
Vinci is the semi auto Marmite decision. Not everyone will enjoy their contempory looks. I have one and I like it, Its a doddle to clean, its very reliable , it swings beautifully like any other Benelli I have used. The bolt release is oversized so great for gloves, the magazine access is slightly wider so makes additional carts very easy to get in quickly. Comes with Benelli's 5 year warranty and is solid built in my opinion. The New Vinci is the magnum version requested by all the yank turkey hunters other than that its the same gun. Gordon R
Had a go with the standard one the other week. Jams for fun.
SirDread
I know a friend bought one of the early ones in 2010 and his jammed anywhere between 1/10 and 1/40 depending on what carts he was using. Mine is a more recent model (Mid 2011) and has never jammed once and its never a load abover 28's so far. Its had Lyedale, claybusters and Fiocchi through it and cycled flawlessly. Benelli must be doing something right for Beretta to buy them out.
EdSolomons
Picked one up at the auto shoot at west London- put it straight back down again. I thought one of the most horrific looking poorly balanced poles I've ever touched.

oxfordfowler
Right then Benelli have put advertising out this month for the SV. Apparently they are due to arrive with GMK today. All I need now is for one to arrive at the local RFD so that I can get hold of one and see if it will become my Xmas prezzie to myself (sad). Failing that I'll be having an SBE. Brother had a look at one over in the States last week - seemed very happy with it. We shall see. OXF

luvbus
Got the money for one burning a hole in my pocket, nearly went down to Derek Lees today to buy a standard one as a stopgap till they told me how much they'd trade it in for against the super when it finally comes out! Back to waiting for the super again.......😥
