Caddyman
I'm only a hours drive away I was thinking of going Sunday morning. I guess Deershooter is NOT recommending it!?!?! Anyone else been on Saturday and have a report/recommendation. I was hoping to see a few guns and possibly try some new clothing, but perhaps not Any thoughts most welcome to save me a wasted journey! deershooter
Believe me not a shotgun or rifle in sight only a couple of kids air rifles on one clothing stall they should be taken to the cleaners for calling it a game fair by trading standards. If you are going and dont have tickets stop in Newark and buy the Grantham Journal there is a voucher for £5 off at least then you will not have wasted a whole £10  Deershooter Edited October 15, 2011 by deershooter
Ryan gun
Went today and it was **** but still boughtt coats and had a go on the clay stand also tried the browning maxus but not a patch on the cla and chatsworth Rg
oneshotkiller
Its a terrible game fair , just clothes and food stalls and every clothes stand has the same brands at the same prices I went to get some nets off Mick Dadd and some other gear i really needed , if you don't need anything don't bother
Rushjob
I live 10 mins away - avoid this one and wait for the British Shooting Show, next one is 25 / 26 th Feb 2012 at Newark. This years one was superb, unlike the Robin Hood one which is more like a small Sunday market in comparison!
PhilR
I went today and fortunately bought my two tickets on line so saved enough to pay for one of our hog roast rolls and a cup of tea. No guns or any real gun related stands. I saw Paul Hart and bought a few more crow decoys Lurked around the whiskey tasting stands and had several snifters and that was that. I won't bother going in future, just do the February shooting show and maybe the CLA or Midland gamefairs.
