Sprackles
Anyone else here experiencing long delays with Humberside. My SGC expired last month, renewal in a good few weeks before that and have now got a temp cert which will also run out in a few weeks. Firearms office say it has been sent to division so anyone any ideas on whats happening, are they double checking or is everyone on sick leave. I am getting a bit peeved off with my local forces performance because as well as this delay, my daughter was assaulted 4 weeks ago and apart from the initial complaint, they have not been back in touch despite several phone calls from me and assurances by them. Not a minor assault either, beaten up by a gang and in hospital. I bet if I said I was going round to sort the plebs out who got my daughter, they would be round like the proverbial shot to remove my guns from me. Sprackles
Well scrap that....just had my visit, pleasant enough but was told they are checking up on things more closely. Even contacted my reference this time around. Will still be a few more weeks before issue though apparently.

Fuddster
Humberside are absolutely **** FAC and SGC with a couple of variations done in 6 weeks. Polite on the phone and the FEO was on the ball. I have to differ from your **** rating and was pleased with their renewal process. fuddster

dan-250
Think yourself lucky your not in Lincoln, mine was supposed to be delivered 2 weeks ago I was told. Still waiting and thats 23 weeks for it. I'd of been quicker moving to a different county and moving back. Bet there not this slow when they want it back for renewal. willy1
Try Kent for sloooooow, 4 months waiting at the moment, they are just starting on Augusts. Seems as if nearly all forces are as bad. I thought that the new computerised system was supposed to improve things Alan
mattslaptop247
Just emailed humberside and mine was processed last Friday and is winging its way through their internal mail. Sent it in for a change of address and it's only been three weeks and that's with Christmas and new year in there, all in all pleasantly surprised so far. Haytime
Most forces need a good shake up when it comes to issuing/renewal and variations. It's a service that we pay for and providing we have done all our paperwork it should be easy...not a case of jumping through hops everytime. I complained to the CC via a letter to North Yorkshire last year for the time it took to get a variation and change of address. 13 weeks is totally unacceptable. I have just read in this months Sporting Gun two letter from two ex-feo's who have retired or left..makes interesting reading. ......don't be put off by thinking that ringing your feo will delay processing your application, it does not....I have yet to see if Durham are any better
