njc110381
I found the .44 Mag quite a nice round to shoot. Not sure about anything bigger though, the .44 is pretty jumpy. I'd give that .50 a go. I think as long as you let them recoil and don't try to stop them they're not bad to shoot. I could have shot the .44 all day. I did shoot a .50AE but in a big fat Destert Eagle they're not too bad either. It's a big heavy gun, the grip was too big for me to really like it and shoot it well. phaedra1106
I miss my S&W 29 6" :( first (and only) time I shot it with the factory wood grips I took a large chunk of skin off my thumb!, changed to Pachmayr rubber grips and problem solved Almost bought a Dessert Eagle in .44 but having seen one break due to lead fouling I didn't bother Is it just me or should someone tell our Russian friend not to cock his gun while it's pointing up at the ceiling!. Rushjob
The S&W .50 with a short barrel is a popular choice in the US with hunters and fishermen as a close protection weapon against bears when out in the back of beyond.... A chap I know of in the Alaska State Troopers has just bought one for his wife!!
the running man
The .454 casul is a beast for sure!! Just a longer .45 colt round really.....44 is still very popular on the gallery rifle circut, 4.6 of titegroup seems a popular load,u dont need full magnum loads for much accept wild aninals and long range target......the 50 ae was and is an excellent round... My fave will always be the .45 acp...1911 gold cup or variant of....
