Used one a wile ago now, but it handled beautifully and i really liked it. I also used a 20 bore version and i absolutely adored that, as it was lighter and i personally thought it handled better than the 12 bore.

Beautiful guns and at quite a reasonable price as well ;) ;) ;)

I'd buy one if the fit's good and you like it :good: :good: :good:

Ive got a 687 SIlver Pigeon S (game). Really like it, shoot well with it, nice balance, wont lose value as I bought it mint second hand.............£750!!! My best mate also has a 20 Bore Silver Pigeon 3, beautiful gun. Very light, nice wood, and engravings, he bought that 2nd hand for 1295. We both shoot very well with the 20 Bore. Buy the 12, then if you fancy a change go the higher grade and get the 20 bore.

Yes they are a nice gun, handles well, a bit lighter than the SP1 sporter comes as standard with a auto safety (which some people son't like on any gun). I have both the sporter and game versions in 30" m/c.

It could be woth comparing both guns together as there are some differances between them as you don't say if you want to use it for clays or game.

Very nice and fit me well, but I need a stock extender on. Of about 20mm so a nice recoil pad. Hate the auto safety tho but feel nice, I've used a light, and it swings too fast, so the sil pig is a great gun, built well and with a 10 yr guarantee can't be beaten, they also sell second hand rather well, and not loose that much money.

I have the sporter and it's a lovely piece of kit. My only gripe is the oil finish doesn't seem to be top notch so just be aware it may be best to put a couple of coats on yourself when you get it.

Totally agree on that front.. I got one of our members to redo mine completely. It was best £70 I have spent on shooting stuff.
