I've got a soft spot for the Vizzers but the Bracco is unusual and really good to see :good:

Yeah shes a stunner mate, her sister is winning all sorts of awards, sooooo bloody intelligent, shes 8 months and quartering brilliantly, she watches everything Purdey does and learns quickly, I think shell surpass the Vizslas eventually, but not without a fight from purdey!!! Lisa would like another one in chestnut!!! and I have to say that Darla has soo much character and is like a floppy cuddly clown i wouldnt say no

do 3 class as hunting with hounds ;)

ha ha acually there was 4!!! Little phred is camera shy!!! They work great as a team, Darla going out the furthest, then Purdey Quarters while Dexter stays fairly close at the moment, It works well, flushed a good number of phessies for me like it lately and just this last week loads of woodcock, Dexter even retrieved a woodcock on weds and if you look at the pictures thats no mean feat in that field!! I was well chuffed!

instead of running straight ahead and scaring stuff too far away to shoot they work in a line from left to right as you walk, you can do it with a whislte and as you turn, blow the whistle and so do thay, Eventually you turn your shoulder the dog automatically turns (Purdey does this well), This way you let them go as far as you feel is right then bring them back the other way and so on. I cant really take all the credit, yes, i have trained her but Vizsla seem to do it naturally, Purdey is always(nearly always) aware of what direction Im going in, and even more aware if there is just the 2 of us, its harder to maintain when the pack is out lol. :good:
