TGEvans
Hi all. Been fancying myself a new toy for a bit and just want a bit more info before I part with some cash. I want something light and tough for some woodlands shooting. Dont want anything flash, just something that works. I initially thought of a bolt actioned Webley .410 or a Poachers folding .410 but am now thinking that a singled barrel 20 bore may suit my needs plus give me more scope if needed. Just want to know if anybody else uses something similar, heard that the Baikals may be my best bet. They are usually Bombproof!Any info would be great, Tim. Mike525steel
Why would you want a single barrell A nice little 20 b sxs would be perfect and you should be able to get something for around £
Scully
Beretta 'lightweight'.Tough, light(as in name!)two shots instead of one,and it's a 12 bore and therefore cheaper to feed. Franchi 620.20 bore SA,very light, wave them around like a wand. Edited November 30, 2011 by Scully
Shropshire_Lad
Love the 20 bore but go for a double of some sort. atvb Paul.
Catweazle
You can pick up an old AYA No3 S/S 12g for £100 or less. Light, reliable, versatile. Stick 21g or 24g squirrel loads in and you'll hardly know you've fired it, capable of normal pigeon loads and keep something bigger in your pocket in case you spot a fox. Why pay extra to use a 20g ? DaveyTed
Winchester Select Light? Well under 3Kg and 12g versatility.
TGEvans
Good points people! Liking the sound of the Squrrell loads though! Could you give me some info on them please? What sort of range they have? Who make the best ones? T
