Rangefinder - any good?

The price is OK.

My shooting buddy had one and it was (as the advert says) ok out to 300yds but you had to ping larger objects beyond that to get an idea of range and guess the last bit.

It was not very good in poor weather, ie rain or a light mist and it never read anything reliably out beyond 600yds.

It all depends what you want it for.

I bought a Leupold RX600 from Sportsman for £201. It doesn't have as many features as the Bushnell but its accurate and good in rain. I've used it next to top end range binos and it agreed with them down to +/- 1 yd.

If I could afford it I'd have a Leica because they have an illuminated display. Better still range binos... If only!
