Ian E
Looks like a good deals.. use 20GADGET at checkout for discount. Link... If you're familiar with the iconic Zippo Lighter, there's every chance you spend a lot of your time standing in pub doorways in the cold, shivering while you suck up that precious nicotine nectar (the temptation to simply write 'nicotinectar' there was very strong). Well, your friends at Zippo have come up with an ingenious way to keep your hands warm at such times, and any other time you might feel a bit nippy. This Zippo Hand Warmer runs on standard lighter fluid, is triggered by lighting it and will retain warmth for up to 12 hours. Perfect if you're out in the cold, but just as useful for skiing holidays and any Arctic expeditions you might be planning, it'll give you toasty warm hands (or toasty warm… wherever you decide to put it). Once you've set it going, you can pop it inside the protective bag and feel that cosy warmth radiate throughout your body… mmm. Overall, it's darned useful, a design icon and much healthier than actually taking up smoking. A winter style icon. Features: •A hand warmer in the shape of an iconic Zippo lighter. •Provides up to 12 hours of heat to keep your hands warm. •Directions for use: fill with lighter fluid, ignite, slip hand warmer into protective bag and enjoy heat. •Features a catalytic burner to prolong the heat. •Catalytic burner typically lasts for 70-80 uses. •Suitable for ages 18 years +. figgy
Great price but for a bit more the S Boston handwarmer has batteries to light it so no need to carry lighter or matches for them that don't smoke, and a lot less fiddly. Whichever you choose fantastic peice of kit. When I still smoked always used a zippo lighter, and to use as a handwarmer me and my mates used to light it and tip it so the flame burned inside the lid heating it up then shut and hot as hell. Uncle Albert
After reading this thread i thought i would look for my Zippo handwarmer. Can i find it can i ?. Get them at most fishing or shooting shops. Uttings have them but you will have to pay postage. I've had one for a couple of years. Use it for golf mainly. It's the dogs danglies. Half filled it this morning and lit it at 07.00. It was still chucking heat out at 16.00 this afternoon. Never filled it up full as the book of words says it will go for 18 - 24 hrs. I can stick me hands round me naughty bits when at home if I get that desparate for warmth. I used to have the handwarmer from a certain camping shop. Cheap, yes (£6-8), but the fuel sticks used to last for about 4 hrs but I think they changed the supplier and the new ones only lasted about 2-3 hrs.
