new to the flock
To All: We faced this same kind of prosecution over here two years ago. And the anties almost won. However someone in one of our many hunting oranization I beleive it was the Canadian Outdoor Heritage Alliance http://www.coha.net or the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters http://www.ofah.com came up with the idea to have hunting and fishing classified as a heritage right under the heritage act and minister. It is now our inherit right to hunt and fish in Ontario. We are not out of the woods yet as the anties still try to shut us down by attacking smaller branches of the hunting and fishing, but they did suffer a major set back and learned that there ****e will not be met lying down. Its just a thought folks, I'm sure you have a minister of Heritage and Cultural Rights in Parliment. Yp I think I know what your upto...wish I could be there with you. Cranfield
Listening to radio 4 this morning, it seems a foregone conclusion that the House of Lords will reject the Bill and send it back to Parliment, later this year. So, all is not lost. Why were 40 Labour MPs with constituencies in Scotland, allowed to vote for banning hunting in England ? Its got nothing to do with them. The same goes for the Welsh Labour MPs. Apparently the Conservatives Welsh and Scottish MPs abstained for this reason. In Scotland they are (apparently), getting round the ban by finding foxes with hounds and then chasing them to a waiting gun(s). What happens if the hounds catch the fox before it gets to the gun(s) ? I belong to the BASC, I attended the March, I have written to my MP and I,ve signed every petition that I have seen. But, nothing seems to have worked and I can understand the frustration felt by others. The need for more direct protest is drawing near. The big problem is how to do this , without losing the support of the Public. Already the LACS are claiming that irate hunters and terriermen are going to cause public disorder, "proving the type of people they really are". I think we are going to have to be careful, not to be misunderstood.
Yorkshire Pudding
Cranfield Being a blunt Yorkshire person. The time has come to take direct action. After being involved in the fuel protests and seeing the rubbish that was put on the news about what happened and what did'nt happen.. Imo it do's not matter if we upset the general public or not with "our" protests...The media will twist whatever we do , to make it look like we are the devil incarnate.. so jigger em , and bring it on. all the best yis yp

Hammergun
NTTF - a similar rule exists in France, where after the French Revolution, amongst the freedoms won, it was decreed that every man has a right to hunt. The French will vigorously defend this.

You can get the addresses of peers local to you from the CA site and also tips about what to say: http://www.countryside-alliance.org/ Happy writing! Let`s do something more to help hunting and ourselves as well.
