Farmer-of-the-Futre
Hey all. Ive been looking at a few posts about lamps and torches but i thought i would make a new thread incase there is anything new out there that anyone has used. I'm looking for a scope or barrel mounted lamp (preferably a torch for the smaller size) so i can lamp rabbits and rats. It will be mounted on my air arms s410 with a hawke nite eye 6.5-20 x 50 ao scope (which also has an illuminated reticule if that will help?). Ive seen someone on here with an Active Pro 120 Lumen torch that he said cost around £30 with a mount. Any idea where i could get one of these with a mount, or is there a 'better' alternative? Just wondered what i can get on a tight budget. Thanks all and have a Merry Christmas!
steve_b_wales
The Cluson MG125 is an excellent bit of kit. A bit more expense that you wanted to pay (around £48) but has a built in rechargeable battery, and is only small. I tried my new one last night, and managed to see trees etc at a range of 151 yards. It's claimed to reach 125 yards. You can also buy a filter set for £16.00.

nobby
Nobby- Thats what im looking for. Any problems with delivery? If memory serves me well it took about a week. After it's first outing my shooting partner got one aswell, Would recommend the green personally. I think they're so effective because there isn't any filters. Wharf Rat
The Tesco £10 led torch is better made than the Ultrafire 501 - and plenty powerful enough for an airgun or shotgun. It takes cheaper batteries and the 25mm head can be used with a universal mount. Ultrafires are brilliant when they work, but not as reliable as they could be - if you search the threads you will find some people having probs with them. Tesco job plus mount from Ant Supplies = £18! If you want a specific gun light, I would spend more and get a Ledray/Lensar/Cluson etc. That said, if you get a 501 that doesn't cut out and refuse to turn on, they are brilliant.
