Dunkield
100yds 3 shots Hornady 140g Interlock How big are those squares? I have always used Federals but when they got hard to come by I bought 200 Hornady's as I was offered a deal I couldn't refuse. They shot with the same accuracy in my Tikka as the Fed's but they are quicker so shoot about an inch higher at 100. I wasn't able to try them on a hog, but they accounted for 4 others on that trip, one of which was tickled by a .300 win mag but finished off with a proper calibre
Beretta28g
Erm..... 1'' i think....... I reckon the rifle will outshoot me! Just out of interest, can you use 6.5 on boar, and can you take it abroad for boar shooting?
Dunkield
Yes and yes But I would always check with who you are booking with first. Some people still trot out the old '.270 minimum' nonsense

Beardo
am i allowed to post my pic now Dunkield? yes, they work very well on boar. funnily enough i was chatting to my FLO the other day about 6.5x55 and Boar - and being the sensible chap he is, he said it would be idiotic not to allow a 6.5 for boar, and it shouldn't be an issue if i want it added to my ticket providing i have some to shoot (which i don't at the mo.) oh and my grouping get better and better the more i put through it, i was a but unhappy the first couple of times i shot the new rifle as i couldn't get less than a 2" group - it now shoot less than 1" with the same ammo. Dunkield
am i allowed to post my pic now Dunkield? I am absolutely amazed you have resisted this long While you are doing that, here is a group I shot waaaay back with Federal factory ammo when I first got my Tikka. The stringing is the result of me rattling them off and not waiting between shots. Even so good enough to not bother with reloading.

Dropped very cleanly on the run with a Sako 156 Grain SP and before anyone says - it's not a huge pig, just my first and a decent size one at that.
