Muntjac carcass - help!

ok, so i might be counting my chickens a bit here but i guess i need to be prepared.

I'm interested in doing a bit of deer stalking and have booked up on a muntjac stalk. It's accompanied (just as well as i have no exp of deer stalking), so i guess the guy taking me will assist/guide me in doing the initial gralloch (if i'm successful). The carcass is included in the price of the stalk tho and i presume it will be left to me to sort it out (butcher + skin etc).

I have no idea where to even start with this so any pointers of what i should do with the beast once i get it home would be great.

PS is there a good book i could follow instructions from?

some good videos on youtube too

Just been on youtube and watched skinning (think i can get my head round this).

When it comes to butchery though it's alot more involved than i expected. Watched a series of videos with a guy butchering a roe carcass. Guess a muntjac would be the same but on a smaller scale?

Might wander down the road to the butchers shop to see if he'll do me a favour? lol

Shame you're not closer as I'd give you a hand. Come on guys, who's local and feeling helpful? It'll only take an hour or so.

Lucky OP lives where he does as i have seen your Axe and Bow Saw butchery.lol

Someone on here must be able to help with an hour of time. if you have no luck on here then try stalking directory forum. all good guys on there.

ATB

Phil.
