bakerboy
Why do members not post a Location?, just a county would do . No one on here is going to stalk you By stating a location help is easier to find, plus there are lots of other fringe benefits, for example anyone that shows Herts, Beds, Camb's or Bucks, will always receive a warm welcome from members in that area and invite to the regular get togethers we enjoy, other areas also do the same. It can only help.

Ricko
It is sometimes handy, especially if you are looking at advice/sales etc. to see where someone is. Lets face it we are not asking a person to state that they live at: 23 Acacia Avenue, Bournemouth. bakerboy
Might not be interested in any of those things? Any of what things? Help and advice is the most commonly asked question, knowing where someone is located could see people meeting up to assist in what ever the case maybe! There are at this moment members askiing for things, ferreting guidance/being shown the ropes being one current thread, surely you would receive a better response if others knew roughly where they were located, rather than the "where are you" replies that have arisen. You have posted you are in North Yorkshire and I have posted I live in Stevenage, one can be as specific or as vague as they like, but it is a start Edited January 2, 2012 by bakerboy

onefulham
Totally agree with Bakerboy, a great guy who will help anyone who asks, even if not local to him , but does a lot for the local lads. Sellers on here should put location as should people who want advice often, as iPhones do not show member details with location easily. J@mes
Because they can't be *****? Surely if people want help or assistance in their area they can just put "I live in *wherever*, what is the best gunshop/ can someone come wash my hair" or whatever? If something Vague will do, why not just assume everyone lives in England, Europe or America and go from there?
-Mongrel-
If someone reckons they can trace me from the city I live in and an internet moniker, then let them try. Nigh on impossible I'd reckon. Quite happy to put a general location up, can't see the harm.
Ricko
can someone come wash my hair Shampoo and set? Mince & a rinse? Tart!!

Location in profile Post a picture in the "post a pic of your 4x4 thread" (which a lot of people have) Mention what clay ground you shoot at (which a lot of people do) = easy to work out who someone is IMO. Might take a few weeks for someone to get you, but if you have a nice long list of gun in your signature then it could be a fruitful wait. All "Tinfoil hat" stuff I know.... Shampoo and set? Ricko
If we are looking at a security issue, last year I was in a local pub and we were descended upon by fools in long red socks etc that gave the game away that they had shotguns in the boot of their Rangerovers, easy enough to follow them back to where they lived. I saw a 4x4 parked at Tescos a few weeks ago that had several slabs of carts. on the back seat. Discretion is the word.
