oscarsdad
Afternoon all, My cocker is 10 weeks old now and although he has a while before I start his training, can anyone recommend a good training DVD? I have seen "the spaniel master class" advertised in three parts and also a "cocker spaniel masterclass" as well - has anyone watched these and are they any good? They are also very expensive so if anyone has a copy that they do not need anymore and would be willing to sell please let me know! Thanks, Anthony

Thanks, Anthony I got the book and DVD by Paul Rawlings Training gundogs & gundogs for the home & field. They are quite informative. Although not specific for spaniels, it is quite good. From what I've read Joe Irving is the most prominent spaniel guru that writes boks! Edited January 3, 2012 by mikey2341
ferguson_tom
The Joe Irving book I have is very good and possibly gonna be one of the only books I ever actually finish, obviously proof is in the pudding as my pup is only 12 weeks old but from reading it I can see all the ways i went wrong with my collie (not a gundog.) Sorry not answering the DVD questions but the training spaniels book is worth a read.
