Mungler
So that's the JSR own brand 3-9x50 Pro illuminated for £59-95? I like the price tag. Have JSR got a webby - I don't get any of the airgun mags. Ta muchly.

P03
I've been using an AGS scope for quite a while now and I'm well impressed with the way it holds zero no matter how much I've banged it about. There's a good range of scopes right up to the SWAT so they might be worth looking at. P03
Ian D
Get the JSR 6-24x50 IR AO. Just put one on my s410, and it rocks.... once you get used to it. Adjustable px and illuminated reticle, good for low light. Mines on medium mounts and sits about 2-3mm over the mag. Mungler
The Ramsbottom webby isn't very well set out and there appears to be a million different versions of the same scope. Ian, could you be a love and PM me a link to the scope and at set of mounts that fit an S410 best. Ta muchly.
Axe
Mungler, have you tried Optics Warehouse
dunganick
i would avoid hawke, i have one and wont buy one again, I would suggest the Bushnell Banner or Trophy 3-9x40 (or higher mags) a quality scope for the money they only fog if you get the big scopes (eg 24x) and even then it only happens past 18x. Out of the trophy and banner i would go for the trophy, its a slightly higher quality scope, but only slightly. Should find them at optics warehouse. Mungler
Okay, so the good news appears to be that for £100 I can get something which will do the job nicely - the key bit is the whole dawn dust thing and whilst S410's are great guns they don't shoot that far and so mega magnification upto a Spinal Tap "11" is not required. SNAKEBITE
Whatever make or model you get you will get more light in a scope with a 50mm objective lense than a 40mm o/l. Therefore go as big as you can. Have you considered a 30mm tube body? Walther do good value scopes for air guns. The more "bells and whistles" it has the less money is going to be spent on the lenses. A £100 fixed mag scope with no paralax adjustment of illuminated reticule is going to be clearer and better built that a £100 scope with all the added extras. Consider things like "Am I going to keep the scope when I sell the rifle?", "Do I REALLY need an illuminated reticule?" etc etc. All these things might help you make your mind up. Axe
Mungler, Have a look at this link http://www.opticswarehouse.co.uk/proddetai...d=NSP636&cat=84 I highly rate Nikko Stirling as people will tell you. I have a nighteater on my rimmy and it works more than well enough in dawn/dusk. The scope above is a fixed 6x36 on 25mm tube which should be good enough and has a good set of glass on it. The housing is onepeice so will take a knock or two and it also has a built in sunshade. Best thing about it is the price £37.95. Cracking bit of glass for the money and all you'll ever need on a 12ft/lb rifle.
SNAKEBITE
That is VERY good value for money! I would prefer a higher mag but £38 is amazing for a Nikko.
