Drayman
I'm meeting a colleague in the US who's a proud Welshman called Trefor. I've always pronounced his name over the phone using the "f" sound in the name and he hasn't cpmplained. Is that correct or should I use, dare I say, a "v" sound in the name? Thanks. crob12
I pronounce it with a v it depends on which part of Wales you come from and the strength of your accent
chilly
It is a V sound, but it's probably best to over pronounce it lol, us welshmen are very proud of our language Not that I spoke any Welsh, being from. Cardiff. Lol
ostrea
I pronounce it with a v it depends on which part of Wales you come from and the strength of your accent Just experimented here with and englishman beside me I would go with the "v" Trevo-r If you want to really impress him Learn the longest name of a village in Europe just down the road from me:- Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch All the best
bullet boy
The "F" is the Welsh language is pronouced as a "V" so if it is spelt Trefor(Welsh)it is Trevor(English).Just call him Trevor! ATB.

Ricko
The double ff is used for the f sound. The single f is used as a v sound. And remember there is no f in cabbage.
