pboro shot
Just bought another rotary magnet. Does/ has anyone used two magnets at same time when decoying? Any good? ive used two rotarys not really seen any great difference infact some times pigeons seem more spooked by them i found for best results set birds at different heights and have them on different speeds seems to work but not really no better then one imo

The Essex Hunter
Just bought another rotary magnet. Does/ has anyone used two magnets at same time when decoying? Any good? We use 2 when the conditions allow, however that is always the big factor, a 2 hide set up around 35 yds apart, with the rotary’s out around 25 yds to the left and right of the hides, the decoys set in a random pattern in the centre of the rotary’s. This is only when the wind is coming from directly behind, as with a crossing wind then the birds tend to drift into only one of them. It can work quite well and we have found that birds will come up the hedge line and then turn out and swing in. The hardest thing is to let 2/3/4 birds get in the kill zone as the urge to shoot is quite strong!! It is trial and error….lots of error TEH
Catamong
Ouch....2 hides only 35 yards apart, you must have a lot of faith in your shooting buddy. :o Cat.

Catamong
Two Magnets can work very well, particularly over Winter Rape. Don't make the mistake of putting them too far away from the hide, they need to be 10 - 15 yards max, or else the birds will flare off before they are properly in range. Cat. Rockers
I have used two but as with earlier replies I site them either side of the hide and close in. as they are different models they run at different speeds and although its extra weight i go on the basis that two is better than one? besides most people only use one anyway and therefore they are less likely to have seen two.
