big simmo999
hi guys i am new to the sport and was just wondering weather you could tell me weather desert camo (sand coulor) be alright for shooting over like a feild of rape or green feild thnks your hide is better "lighter" in colour than dark. Do as above - cut some weeds, small branches etc and add it on - Keeping still is the main thing!
jackshootertindall
so it would be fine over green rape thnks
hedd-wyn
You could always weave branches and leaves that are around you into the net, that way it'l match your surroundings and blend into the backdrop In fact i've seen top shooters use goal/football netting, and just add surrounding foliage as camouflage and works fine. Tis1979
I've used one as a roof over a bale hide to great effect. Never as a hide in the hedge though would be to light in colour I reckon. Who knows though.

tosspot
Few years ago in one of the shooting mags, Sporting Gun i believe, made a hide out of bright red "roadworks" netting, and proceeded to have a good day on the pigeon, the gist was that it's not necessarily the colour of the net but whether movement could be seen behind it.
