evo
Hi all,, hope you can help,,i have been rough shooting since i was 12yrs young with my father and cousin i am now 47, he sadly passed away 8 yrs ago but approx 15 to 20 plus years ago he sold his shotguns and firearms but one of these was specially built for shooting geese and wildfowl,, is it possible for me to find out where this gun has gone,, i think he sold it to the gunsmith in liverpool it might even be longer than 20 years ago,,he had this gun since he left the RAF in 1950,and loved his shooting and it was his pride and joy until ill health took over,, i was brought up using this gun and would love to know if i could find out if it was still out there somewhere,,Now for the problem,,,,, i dont know the make or model,,so is it possible to trace it another way ie via sgc or through the police records,i dont know,,but if it was still out there i would love to aquire it just for sentimental sake and to also use,,any help in how to go about finding it would be great just hope its not a lost cause many thanks
bi9johnny
The gunsmith in Liverpool was w Richards and son and they closed down approx 22 years back. Without a serial number and make I would not hold out a lot of hope I really hope I'm wrong. Good luck mate.
Blunderbuss
Do you have any pictures of you or your Dad with it? If so, someone like Bill Harriman at BASC might be able to ID it. BASC would be a good bet anyway for tracing it, they might have access to the Richards records or know who does. Was there a copy of your dads SGC or even a sales receipt for the gun in his personal effects?
