Frank
Got this hutch yesterday at the pet shop, made a few adjustments to make it ferret freindly. Its 4 ft long, 1 1/2 ft wide and deep and high. Im getting 2 jills next week. Im a bit worried about the hutch not being big enough, but it should do for a start, what do you all think? Cost me enough. I will keep you all updated on getting the jills ect, with pics and what not. I would love to see all your set ups, so get them pics up here, thanks. I will let them run around in the shed their in, from time to time, so for now, they should get some excersise, untill i get to work them next season. Pic below. Frank. Ferretboy111
Looks a good size to me mate! not small atal, id increase the height of the legs on it though as it will be a pain for you to keep bending over etc, or put it on a bench or something. peck
I saw some-where that some-one got some weld mesh and formed it into a tube with wood on the bottom and run it around the garden on stilts above head height, the ferrets could do a complete tour of the garden and be totally safe. the last engineer
you'll have a great time with them Frank, i had mine years back, used to come in the house in the evening, run around and play with the mrs and me, she thought they were great as well, the only thing was i didnt take the hint when my polecat "Gumption" (liquid, killed 99% of all know rabbits) bit the wedding phtographer, should have taken that as the omen it was meant to be . many many memories of ferreting with my hobs, hope you have the same Martin

bertie
Welcome to the pleasure of bolting rabbits Frank. Mind you might get them to work later this year, be patient though, a good ferret starts out average, its just the working that teaches it to work hard.
