Wreck fishing from Southwold

Had a cracking day out of Southwold on the Mistress which is a fantastic boat. Powered by twin 450hp engines she does a comfortable 25 knots. We fished wrecks with pirks, rubber eels and shads about 38 miles out which is almost halfway across to Holland. It's about a 2 hour steam to the fish but it's worth the journey. In total we landed 91 cod to 12lbs. Nothing huge but the fishing was steady all day. Got some nice fillets for the freezer.

Heres a few pictures of the day.

A good days fishing on, what looks like, a very comfortable sea.

Nice conditioned fish, they will be very tasty.

We left port early at 6am and the sea was flat as a pancake. The wind picked up throughout the day and was quite fluffy towards the end. Ideal conditions really. We had a few fillets last night for supper and they were delicious
