fiiish1987
zero at 3x (or whatever your lowest is) and then fine tune it on your highest.
AndyCM
Highest, that should allow fine tuning more easily than on the lowest setting + if it is zeroed on highest then all other settings should be ok (does not always work other way round) Good Luck AndyCM

karl h
depending on range of zero but highest or middle
Dead-Eyed Duck
I always zero at the mag that I expect to use when shooting at quarry. I have always done this as some of the cheaper scopes that I have had suffered from a moving point of aim when the mag was changed. Just my practise I suppose. Comfort factor and all that. And I know that this is also basic stuff, but once I have zeroed a scope, I then always check that the point of aim doesn't move if I alter the mag from minimum to maximum. Dunkield
I always buy expensive scopes I should add, that doesn't help me shoot any better
Axe
I always zero on the highest setting possible. But as people have said, double check your zero if you use a different zoom when in the field. Changing zoom can effect cheaper scopes. killer rabbit (r1000)
i find it easier to zero at medium mag & fine tune at full mag. got a 3-9X56 on my aas200, front about 2mm away from barrel, & at 35 yards it shoots bang on the cross at high or low mag
