secretagentmole
You can, check the law, I can only shoot them there, they are carrying out verminous attacks. Hell you can even get deer classed as vermin you know! This is pest control, not hunting. Edited March 15, 2012 by secretagentmole

fenboy
Yes it is note I said "In the Grain Store Area!" this means they are carrying out verminous attacks on the grain store and can be legally shot as vermin! Can't roost, stalk or have them driven, but if they are attacking the grain store, vermin! I think you are on very dodgy ground there from a legal point of view ,I believe even if you could shoot them you would have to prove that you had tried non lethal methods first and to be quite honest if you walked up to a pheasant and shouted boo at it that will have the desired effect and I would very much doubt there would be a large enough amount of pheasants attacking a grain store to be classed as vermin having said all that if you can find the legislation and post a link to it I will glady eat humble pie. evo
might be wrong but i would certainly never class pheasants as vermin no matter what they were doing and correct me if i,m wrong but why do we have a close season on them if they are being shot and killed,,,doesn,t sound right to me :hmm: :hmm: but as the missus says ""i,m always wrong and she is always right "" so WHO KNOWS

Farmers may class them as vermin but from a legal stance I too will eat humble pie and learn something new If Im wrong.

scotttomo
Don't discount picking up a 2nd hand rifle. A HW100 second hand would be a really good buy, alot of gun for the money imo. BSA superten is also worth a look too.
