Ped
When he bites, yelp like it hurts then ignore him for ten minutes, he'll soon learn. Shouting or smacking him wont do any good When he does stop biting, be sure to reward him, he'll learn positive behaviour will lead to a treat This worked for my JR

arwen3513
it would all depend on the age of the dog and the situation that he is biting in. is it an aggressive bite or puppy mouthing? they need to be dealt with differently. jan

mart46
pick him up by the scruff and shake him Not a good suggestion. However, until we know if its a pup or not, its difficult to suggest whats best.
gilo17
Ive got a lakeland bitch and if I shout at her she stands 20 yards away and wont come near me have to ask the misses to get her back, so dont shout, check the dog whisperer out on sky TV he sorts this problem out all the time.
