    Bloody Kids

It's saws in our family..... Me - ran a brand new jet cut saw across my left thumb last joint, right down to the gristly bits. Dad - two arguments with circular saws, first the tip of his right thumb, a mere 7 stitches, second most of his fingers on his left hand, severing his middle finger save for the tendon on the back, 40+ stitches and a wire from the tip to his knuckles and he got to keep it. Only prob is that it doesn't bend much so he frequently appears to be giving people the one fingered salute!
  2. Morning all My two JRT's have been hell bent on getting under the ramp leading to my shed for a couple of days now (that and excavating the compost heap.....) so this morning I thought I'd let them have a look and lifted the ramp up. All hell broke loose and about two seconds later, this rat was no more! Seriously impressed at how quick the dogs were!! Ped

    rossi

Ref injuries Rossi has suffered, in comparison to many they are very few. He is only one of two champion riders not to had to retire due to injuries ( to date) that prevented riding a bike, the other is Wayne Gardner I think. The likes of Doohan, Criville, Schwantz etc have all been champions but had to retire because the bikes bit them once too often. Doohans list of injuries is horrific - nearly lost a leg, mashed ankles and toes removed so he can walk properly. Given Rossis longevity in GPs, 500's, 990's, 800's and now 1000's, he's relatively unscathed. Dovi on the Ducati is a career ender unless the Italians pull a rabbit out of the hat. Rossis will be competitive no dobt on the Yamaha
  4. Watching the girls in the the cycling pursuit, 6 races breaking the world record each time and demolishing all the competition
  5. Odd things you don't see often...... Popped down to Devizes to the chippy the other day and a bloke walked past with a 4 foot long python.... Walking your dog, quite normal but walking a snake???
  6. Got a Mitox extended clipper for about £150, dead easy to start, adjustable angle head, not to heavy and it's been great on the copper beach. Perhaps not the same quality as Stilh stuff but pretty decent and well priced Ped
  7. Bottle of Bengal Lancer IPA for me
  8. Mine did exactly the same this morning! She's only 4 months old. With our older dog JRT, I took a small drinks can with a couple of small stones in it and threw it at him if I caught him rolling in poo, he soon stopped doing it! After a couple of times, just rattling the can stopped him. My sister in law swore by this method, she bred GSD's for years and it always worked. The rattle is enough to distract them and is unpleasant enough that they soon learn

    For gixer1

Nice bike that! If the reg is playing up, swap it for an Electrex part, much better than the standard part and widely used by ducatisti! Having said that I have three Dukes and the electrics have been fine on em all!
  11. When I did a stint in the TA, we had a young lad join at the same time, never shot anything before and was a bit nervous to say the least. First day on the range, SLR with NATO 7.62, cue nervous lad not holding the gun tight, pulls trigger and the rifle smacked him in the face with the rear sight and fractured his cheek! Nice shiner too

    How many Sheds

I have two Shed 1 is for all the gardening stuff and frankly is a bit of a spider magnet. I largely let the missus have primary use of this one. It's about 2 x 3 metres I guess and simple tongue and groove. Shed 2 on the other hand is far nicer, 3 x 5 metre log cabin, fully wired for power ( is 16 sockets too many?), nice lighting and laminate flooring. This is technically off limits to the missus as its my workshop and toy cupboard (3 Ducatis). Being a log cabin it's a very pleasant place to potter about in - I can spend hours in there not really doing much Long live the man cave!!!
