il cacciatore
This must rate as one of the most random questions posted but... I have this packet of turnip seeds, it says on it Norfolk purple. I was wondering if these are for animal feed or human consumption.

Lord Geordie
Turnip are generally a small root vegetable (about tennis ball size) in yellow-white-or purple colour skin and the flesh almost white and is BEST eaten raw as i find once boiled it goes real nasty. NOT to be confused with what a LOT of people refer to as a Turnip but is ACTUALLY a Swede. Swede are a Larger root veg (about football size) with yellow bottom and purple top and the flesh is more yellow and goes a nice dark yellow when cooked This veg is nice Raw AND cooked. As for Sprouts they are VERY nice but then i have yet to find a Fruit or veg i dont like as i was raised on fresh fruit and veg as my Dad was a keen gardener and we had all our veg fresh from the garden  LG
