bullet boy
I use the SAK mod on my FAC Air-Rifle,my .22LR and .17HMR.They might not be the best in some people's eyes but these mods are very popular and I like them!
Cannon
I found the SAK to be quieter than the Parker Hale with my .22lr.
Beardo
My PH is quiter than my Sak on my .22lr!
Dunkield
Although I have a SAK I have heard plenty of PH's, and as Nick says they are quiet, if yours isn't there is either something up with it or you maybe expecting too much from it? malkiserow
The difference is not all that much ...... The loudest noise is the thwack as the sub hits the rabbit skull

To be fair no not realy untill you go to extreames. Examine your ammo choice and make sure you are on proper subsonic rounds - Auto rimfires spit a lot of noice out the action area no moderator will help this better by far the bolt gun in this regards Do you reffer to Autos perhaps? My own old Parker hale moderated bolt action is vitualy silent on firing giving only reflected noise of the strike
beanieboy
I found the Parker Hale slightly quieter than the Sak - but the latter was lighter and shorter.
JR1960
I've got PHs on both my rimfires (Anschutz b/a and BRNO auto) and all i usually hear with subsonics is the hammer hitting the firing pin and the bullet hitting home. You may want to look at your ammunition if its that noisey.

bicykillgaz
i've owned a logun, jls (i think), parkerhale and my sako plus a couple of other cheapy ones and the sako is the best i've owned noise wise, i wouldn't change it.
bullet boy
The SAK is probably the most popular rimfire mod. It's a good bit of kit too at around £35 mark it's not going to break the bank either!
