Brown Sauce
Guys please don't use a claims company to reclaim, you'll be giving away your already paid for premiums, to some feckless bunch of schmucks. However if you' d like me to do it for you at 30% of the amount rewarded, plus a £99 fee, rock on. PM if you need more any help

Robin128
Guess what? Just came off the blower after discussing my claim with Ombudsman. No compensation for Barclays making a 1st mortgage offer conditional upon a mortgage protection policy being bought. Ombudsman says that no problem with Barclays as mortgage protection is a term assurance policy. The recent court case only covered PPI. Ombudsman said I could have gone elsewhere for the loan. Not happy.
Fisherman Mike
Dont assume that because you took out PPI you can get the premiums back in many of the cases you cant...The key here is MIS-SOLD... Where the Protection insuarance doesnt actually cover the stipulated risk. I have a nasty suspicion the Banks and Financial institutions are paying out willy nilly under pressure from a lot of these so say legal firms because its easier to use their profits to do so rather than try and fight expensive legal actions. It wouldnt suprise me also if some time in the future they cry enough and actually find away of reversing the process and getting some of these payouts back even indirectly. Bee careful, and unless your very confident of your position and the amounts are substantial I would leave well alone and put it down to experience.
