MAJ2
...but as you're seeking advice about shooting bunnies, try pitching the hide about five yards from the hedgeline, with the opening facing down the hedge. This way you can catch them as they make the first couple of hops into open ground. You don't say what weapon you will be using, but I've found a dry groundsheet, camo gear, and a bipod works a treat with the 22 rimmie. Just lay down and wait. Cranfield
Whichever way you decide to face, make sure the rabbits will be in range of your hide and you have a safe backstop. A hedge is not really a safe backstop, especially if there is a path, or road on the otherside.

Bipolar
I have had great success with just a scrim or leaf effect net draped over the gun and my upper body in the prone position, anything to hide your hands and face and to breakup your outline, gloves and head nets are a bonus but in ths weather it's too hot

No mossies bites or tents to put up. LB
Highlander
Leave those camo tents in the garden for the kids. IMO they're not worth the money (for the toy ones or the real McCoy) or the hassle
pin
If you aint moving, are not winding them and keep quiet you will be suprised just how little concealment you actually need I used to be careful but seem to be getting more clumsy with each passing year, I used to be able to sneak about quietly too, but these days I could try that among a herd of bull elephant and get told to keep it down
lurcherboy
@ Pin. You wanna see NTTF in the field then Pin, it would make you feel a whole lot better, according to the Topgunners. LB
pin
I am thinking about a new tactic which will involve actually trying to make the most noise feasable with the given surroundings. Given I already do when trying not to, the law of averages suggests I should then miss every twig / bit of kit out there
Pedro
I just wear dark colours and try and sneak up from downwind, then hopefully any noise you do make gets carried away. Patience is the big thing, if you go nice and slowly you can place your feet and have a good scan at the same time. For some reason the bunnies don't run off straight away either and tend to "sit up" for a better look, thus giving you more time to get the shot right. I spend hours shooting like this and find it a great wind down from work and it's amazing what other things you see. P.
