Sco77w
Anyone know where i can get a replacement mid bead for my Browning Ultra XS Prestige? When I wanted a replacement for my shotgun I went to my local RFD, they had a box with loads of different ones in it. I'm sure this will be the case for any self respecting gun shop. But dont worry about it, there will be loads along soon to tell you you don't need beads, they're just a destraction.

harpoonlouis
Mid rib, best few quid you will ever spend. Totally accurate way to check your gun mount ocassionally while easy to ignore 99.9% of the time.
shaun4860
My new gun came with a mid bead, Whilst everyone was "playing" with yesterday, it had snapped off Ive had a mid bead for 13 years and whilst you dont notice it, its supposed to be there, And as said, its nice to check mount every now and again. next question is going to be, how hard is it going to be to remove whats left of the old one? or is it a gunsmith jobbie? harpoonlouis
They are normally on a small threaded pin ( 2.6mm?) Go to th gunsmith and look at the box of matching beads and you should get a clue of how it was attached, should be easy to swap it out then. There is a gun parts site online that shows lots of different beads, may give you a clue, will post if I find it. HDAV
Plenty of people have them taken out so hopefully gunsmith will have a few in a tub somewhere. As for getting thread out a small flat blade may turn it out or the worlds smallest stud extractor and a steady hand will a drill....
