Canadian Pike

Had an e-mail sent to work today, from someone that lives in Canada. It had these images of this huge pike and the following info

For those of you who don't know where Turtle Lake is, it's in Central Saskatchewan.....probably the biggest nearby center would be North Battleford, it's a beautiful resort and lake.

This is NOT a fish story !

This is a new record Northern Pike in Canada .. It was caught on Turtle Lake. Check this thing out. The man (in the photos below), was fishing, and caught a 36" Pike. As he was reeling it in, a 56" - 55 lb Pike tried to eat it !!!!! He landed them both in the same

net. The last picture is unreal.

Now this is a FISH!! That's how they grow them in Canada folks!

Makes the recent British record equalling pike look like a tiddler!!

Those pictures have been around for quite a few years.

The consensus is that the pictures of the chap holding the fish and the pike in the water with a smaller pike in its mouth, are unrelated.

The big pike was caught by Mr Blom (see Paul's link) and weighed 42lb 9ozs.

i vaguely remember seeing that pic when it was first made public a good few years ago, I'm sure it was a jack with a mid twenty holding on to it.
