retromlc
Having a strange thing happening, which seems to be occouring more frequently,I pull the trigger and it sounds like the hammer is released but fails to strike the pin hard enough,I pull the bolt back and try again and it fires no problem,it seems to do it if the bolt is back(open) for a little while, but only intermitenly.the trigger is clean but maybe i need to give it a clean/wash,should i use white spirits or brake cleaner.I don't have and don't know anyone with an air gun so i can't give it a blast after useing a cleaner,I also wonder if i should soak the bolt to de-gunk the firing pin,and I can't see how to remove the pin from the bolt, can any offer suggestions. It's had aboue 3k carts through it. Catweazle
Is the bolt fully forward when you try to fire ?

chrispti
Have you removed the trigger mechanism and given that a clean
retromlc
Have you removed the trigger mechanism and given that a clean several times,it's not dirty,a bit of a dusting of residue but good,I think there might be some sticky gunk somewhere that is slowing it down, but hard to sat the striker seems reluctant to start it's backward motion to the locl position but it might be on a cam or something. stu nesling
have you removed and checked the firing pin? it could be broken!
retromlc
i have no idea how to get the pin out?i would have checked it,but the end of the pin looks intact and uniform in shape so I'm assuming it's fine,it operates when pushed from the striker end. andy198712
how does a fired cart look? ie on the struck area. i was talking to my local gunsmiths just the other day about trigger cleaning. he said to get some paraffin and give it a good scrub with a tooth brush/soak repeat ect. the idea being that paraffin leaves behind a thin film, and brake cleaner ect dont, thus leaving it dry, and your lube may not get into all the areas it needs to. he also noted to spray it with something like GT85 ect after (contains ptfe) just some food for thought mate, could also be a worn spring, try the easy option then pop it into the gun smiths, i always though miss fires were pretty dangerous (if you eject them, having waited a minute or two)
retromlc
Thx Andy it actually sounds like it didn't strike just sorta stutters . I haven't checked to see if there has been contact with the cart I'll give it good paraffin wash and we are going to see if we can get the pin out too, does anyone know how to remove it or a link, I've searched but not found one yet
