Jolly
I was shooting the sako the other day and with a full mag the first 2 or three rounds wouldnt load. and a few times even bent the round what could be causing this ? I have 4 mags so I don't think it is a magazine issue what do you all think ?
apache
You did have the correct mag, bullets and barrel combo? :o
JRDS
I have a Quad with both 5 and 10 shot Mags, the 5 shots feed fine but the 10 shot Mags will not feed if filled. I load 8 in the 10 shot and they work fine. My 10 shot Mag for my Finnfire is the same.

Sub Nova
If you google it you will find it is a common fault with the quad. Regards Paul.

Sub Nova
Re: SAKO QUAD EJECTION PROBLEMS This problem is to do with the extractor ports on the barrel/breech face Take the barrel out and put a spent case in to see for yourself... the rim of the case doesn't protrude far enough across the ports to allow extraction There is a simple solution - take a file, about the size of the extractor port and run it over the port 2-5 times ish - until you have given enough space for the round to protrude over the port! simples! GMK's solution is to increase teh chamber for some reason!!! but the above works a treat, just remember you can take more away but not add to it! killer_pigeon
it can be one of 2 things, 1. When you load up the mag (and because mags are straight) sometimes you get bullets sitting awkwardly on top of each other because the rims are touching each other. When this happens the first couple out dont poke up at correct angle and wont feed. Solution is to tap the mag at rear to make sure they are all sitting correctly. Obviously dont bang it hard but just a gentle tap just to settle the rounds 2. Just under the breech hole is a small angled recess thats meant to guide the bullets in. With some ammo you get a wax build up on this recess and the bullets sometimes stick going in. clean it with cotton bud, dipped in cleaning solution, entering from magazine hole. The Quad is a compromise rifle because each magazine has to cope with 2 different rounds and the breech needs to cope with 4 different rounds in total, so not one round round fits everything perfectly, hence a couple of loading and ejecting issues that can occur cheers
Bewsher500
The win subs are a bit fatter at the nose that some others, mine doesnt misfeed so I assume it is just an anomoly, hve you tried adjusting the lips of the mag? where are they fouling the breech. As for ejection problems, dont file your barrel, file the claw! one is cheap and poorly designed, the other is not! here: http://www.thestalkingdirectory.co.uk/showthread.php/40822-Sako-Quad-Extractor-claw-modification
