As I said, I had fixed mine easily at first try. Please check two attachments. Above is from Hatsan user manual and below is from somewhere :) As you can see, cut off system is really simple. Just 3 parts; a screw, a spring, a button. I show the hole in picture where you use precision screwdriver. Now, I just suggest you to loosing and getting off the screw from hole. I suppose you can understand how it work. Spring is between the button and magazine tube extension. Spring is lying over magazine tube groves. Spring must have approx. 2-3 cm length. If you can not understand how to fix then just left to gunsmith but in fact easy. Explaining with words is not easy for me. Just a suggestion. You decide.

Okay, I noticed the screw was slightly loose so tightened it but the button was either too hard to press it or wouldn't stay in so we removed the screw and the spring looked fine, The threads on the screw had bent through from the screw driver so we had to put the screw in a vice. Then I tried to put the screw back in, and it went in a small amount and got stuck and the head of the screw it completely rounded, There's literally not even a groove to put the scewdriver in. I hope hatsan will fix it if I send it off? Now I'm stuck with a non working button and not a way to fix it :(

 I had experienced same things. Yes, as I said early, spring must be lay on magazine grooves. Otherwise the spring may squeeze more than enough. So end up button stuck(almost). You must let the spring loose as much as possible. Please try this, push the far end of spring toward left or right side(not directly cross) first and let it place deep inside and over the grooves as much as possible. Preferably hold the button as pushed before and while screwing. And better, have a try if it is working before screw. Explaining is not easy but for me a bit more :) Believe me, this repair is not hard as much as explain.

The threads were messed up before I think, Thats why we put it in a vice as the screw wouldn't go back in. I can't get to the spring because of the screw there is no groove to undo it. I will have to take it to a RFD hopefully they will be able to fix it.

You shouldn't need to force screws if you do it's Likley you need to clear the thread with a die set. Im sure it can be drilled out and retapped. Mind you could forget about it and get on your life I find I hardly ever use it anyway

Fair enough if I had Beretta silver pigeons and Benelli's and the hatsan was my rough gun then I wouldn't care what worked or not. But it's my only gun and I've spent all my money on it and it doesn't even work properly. I probably have some kind of disorder or something haha but hopefully you get what I mean.

Ahh okay, I just don't want to ruin anything or have it not work properly, Also don't like the idea of bodging it with a random spring.

It's a hatsan the whole gun is a bodge anyway so don't worry bout it lol just enjoy shooting it !!!!

After emailing them twice I get no reply...My friend emails them and gets a reply 10 minutes later... Ah well they're sending a screw out. Now has anyone got any idea how to get the old one out? Bare in mind there's no screwdriver slot in there or anything. Thanks
