Stealth Stalker
I was handling the ferrets tonight & noticed a few fleas on them Albinoes show every speck! I'm presuming they've picked them up off the rabbits I'm feeding them, anyone else found this, what treatments can I administer. Apart from this they're doing brilliant, love being handled, no biting, an amazing healthy appetite. I'm getting a lot of enjoyment out of them already, I can't wait till they're ready to take them hunting. Cheers SS
rarms
Frontline spray. I never had mine catch fleas off rabbits, but they had ticks off em once and the frontline got rid of them just like that!
Ferretboy111
Frontline is the best However any insecticidal spray for small animals will do, ive found fleas on one of my sandy hobs only this year, i blame my mothers cat, however rabbits i feed them are covered in them so spose they could also be a cause. Treat them to get rid of the *******. # Alex

Ferretboy111
You have to go to the vets for it, its really for cats, looks like a white bottle with a plate on the front of the nossle, its like 30 quid though but will last for ages as once done it lasts 6 months or so, Alex

Bigbob
I always like to freeze the rabbits them fed them to the ferrets ,just my believe this kills off the fleas and tape worms .. Any differnt views ??.
Cranfield
After a rabbit has been dead for a while and goes "cold", the fleas disappear, they need a warm "host" to survive. LB posted a cheap link for direct purchase of Frontline and other pet medications. http://www.vet-medic.com/default.aspx . Don't forget to get the cat version. Some Vets charge a fortune for the stuff.
