Dirty Harry
Hi, I went to the dealers the other day and they have them new for £12999+vat. Choice of colours, air con, leather, side steps but no rear cover or load liner. I have found a cover on e-bay for £400 and a liner for £99. There was warrior on an 02 plate with a sports cover and load liner for £10000+vat. This had 42K on the clock. I am gonna take one for a test drive but would like some thoughts on it from you lot. What are they like to live with as a family car, off roader and for hauling stuff around shooting? Harry
Slipster
Harry My Brother drives the L200 crewcab and has no bother with it. I drive the Ford Ranger Thunder £12,500 +vat new Leather, air con ect ect I love it its brilliant for shooting and getting the dogs on the backI tow my caravan with ease and enough room for wife and 2 kids. I have a roll back cover for mine and would never have a hard top, although you can lock thing up its then just like a closed van, to restrictive for me. If you do go for a crew cab my advise would be drive it around for a while b4 buying a hard top. Load liners are good as they protect the back and easier to clean. My liner was not an original Ford part (copy) and it wasnt until i had had it for a while that i relised the garage had removed the tying points to fit it in now there is no where to strap anything down But apart from that its crew cabs every time for me Slipster

RobF
My work motors a Trojan, its been good so far (8400miles), and is great for the dogs in the back, much better than the Trooper I had previously. I get 31mpg and its capable off road. If you have dogs try and make sure the load liner isn't the deep ridged type as they dont seem to like standing on it. Also, when the dogs jump in, they sometimes get their feet stuck down in the gap between the door and body - easily fixed though with a bit of carpet or duct tape. Dirty Harry
I have found an L200 Warrior with a sports utility top, checker plate load liner and power enhancement for £11750 and VAT free. It's a 54 with 20,000 miles. I don't think it's a bad price so will probably get it. Does that sound ok to you lot? Harry

jonno 357
Do the new L200 have a better chassis ? The old ones had the ladder chassis. Very agricultural drive and very dated Have look at buying something else before you decide on your purchase Jonno
Tam
Ask for a long demo drive i was impressed by the handling (tail happy but good fun in the wet ) but all trucks that are designed to run with a Ton in the back are comfy driving position - im 6' & was ok driving 200 miles non stop
