hawkeye
Went out today to one of my farms that i shoot on, I have shot 422 black ones on this farm since June. Got there and set up in a barley stubble field with the wind behind it was blowing a good gale It was about 12-30pm when i started shooting they came into the decoys steady away all afternoon i had to pack up at 3-00pm ran out of cartridges as i only had what was in my bag. The motor was in for service on monday and forgot to put my reserve cartridges back in to it. picked up 72 blackones should have been a lot more i bet i dont forget my cartridges again. Even the bloody camera that is always in the motor was at home

hawkeye
Been back to the same field today. Set up in the same place as yesterday shot from 1pm till 4pm and picked up 75 blackones. Only difference today the farmer sat in the hide all the time to keep me company he was good at spotting them coming in. He just kept saying its not sport this its suicide so i said do you want me to pack up, not bloody likely he said shoot the *******.

30-6
Don't know up your way, but I reckon the jackdaws in Wales have had several broods this year. You can see by the new feathers in the wings and their size that they are young birds. I know pigeons can have several broods, but can and do other birds? Like I said, there are young jackdaws about last week that look like they have not been out of the nest long.
