He was a beater on the same shoot as me for two seasons. I remember commiserating with him when his wife died a couple of years ago. Absolutely shocking By the the way, he has several user names on here that I know of. grouse2008, partridge60 and probably a few more. He set up his PUBS website after falling out with NOBs and used his various log ins to try to poach people on threads about beating. Just shows you never really know who your standing next to. Was told it involved children and his dogs to...just depraved beyond what normal people understand. No, but it's perfectly possible to think there's something a bit odd about someone without them making such an announcement. The point being that sometimes in these scenarios you might think "I'm not surprised, he always seemed strange" and other times you ARE completely surprised. That's what really makes my skin crawl about this. I've sat next to this piece of scum in the beaters wagon and laughed and joked with him. I know there's no invisible sign that that says "child abuser" on them. It's just that it somehow (irrationally perhaps) makes you question your own ability to judge character.
