I had a hours flighting on Monday and bagged these five with nine shots. A mate has been singing the praises of Hull Imperial Game 1oz in 7 shot, so I tried a few. Worked a treat and those I hit stayed hit, no runners at all. Nice and light on the shoulder, but a tad pricey. They use a special plastic type wad that is bio-degradable.

Some nice plump birds there. Interesting to hear about No7's as well. Have always used No6's in 32g for MrWoody.

Had some good sport yesterday, and finally my shooting is starting to get back to normal. Was using Eley HB Pigeon in No 6 1/2 fibre wad. Some awesome long and high birds with them, not sure what it as about them (or if its my shooting) but the 6 1/2 were hitting very hard out to some good ranges. Perhaps it was perception but they seemed to be htting harder than my normal rio super game 20's (32g No6).

Cheers Pin mate. I swear by the Eley HB Pigeon the best there is IMHO, budget end anyway. I took a box with me as a back up just in case these "new" ones weren't up to the job, but they were big time. There's a lot to be said for an ounce of number 7 at 1450fps for pigeon. I have to admit liking plastic wads and the Hull wads in these are bio-degradable which is a big plus.

Yo buoy. Cheers. What are the river levels like in Hampshire? It's been lashing it down here thank god. You've got some cracking rivers your way, what's the score? :good:

It has been drizzling this morning otherwise no rain for bout a month, some of the rivers round my way are extremely nice, we are lucky to have them. River levels are normal atm i think
