fo5ter
It was an actual hurricane apparently. Not a dry patch on me when I walked to the bank earlier! We had a major incident running here with flooding across the county, power lines down. Worst damage was around Thornton.
kyska
I've not seen rain like it for years, my local village (East Leake) has sand bags outside doors, the standing water is incredible, I'm yet to go and see whats happened to the rape.... This morning, the sky looked like the end of world was nigh, really, really, strange, car park lights on at 11am. Looking at the sheep from the office window now...bright sunshine...beautiful.

RedRobin
Horrendous. The sky looked like a scene from War of the Worlds ! Major issues at work with computor systems , at least the IT Dept will earn their money ... Gave the garden a good beating.
Sprinter
Leicestershire, just south of MKT Harborough we had a stifling hot day with about 16 spots of rain throughout the day.
fo5ter
I know a few people with smashed windscreens and dented cars after the golf ball sized hail too, thankfully I managed to avoid that one

Frenchieboy
I saw a few reports of it on telly. I can only say one word to describe it - "Incredible"! For heavens sake, we are into the end of June and surposed to be having our summer weather - Sunshine, warm breezes, etc. What has happened to the weather? It seems to be getting worse and worse every year?
Bionic Man
Weird, weird weather. Was in Burton On Trent about 1100Hrs yesterday as the heavens opened. Drove back through Coalville as Bardon Quarry spewed water across the road! At about 13.20hrs it honked down in Beaumont Leys area, flooded our factory......36,000 square feet of mopping up! Then went to the bank in Anstey at about 14.45 and paddled across the road. Am now worried about trench foot. Can't wait for the Met offices' excuses.......
