Dead-Eyed Duck
I found this photo from when I used to do some serious ferreting many moons ago. The early ferret finders weren't so reliable then, and so the ability to wield a large spade used to come in very handy.

Ferretboy111
Looks about right! I once dug a hole which fitted half of myself in it, my whole arm stretched out, whilst holding a trowel fully stretched too and i could only just touch the bottom. Was a job to pull out the bunny from them depths.
Ferret Master
I have a similar pic of Jordan the notorious poacher/natures son conversing with one of his ferrets 3 foot underground. FM
bigsam
i can remember digging my mates ferret out once using the finder. i dug a perfect hole straight down about a foot wide and could see the ferrets face, so i reached down hand first when i got a very nasty nick on the end of my finger the air turned blue for a bit after i calmed down the ferret appeared back out of the hole it went down !! i soon learnt not to go so hasty with reaching for the ferret lol cheers BS
RobF
My mate was once locating while I was digging and he wandered around saying here, 2ft down, Okay, hole dug no ferret or tunnel. Anyhow this went on half a dozen times, I was getting mightily peeved with the field looking like a bomb site, I took the locator off him and quickly found his set up spare collar in his jacket pocket..*******! The deepest hole I saw ever was for a terrier, 27ft down, took 7 days with jack hammers, now that is some hole. The terrier was fine. Frank
27 feet!!!!! Flaming Nora? Have never dug to a ferret yet, allways waited for them to come out in the past. But this time round, i will have a locator, getting too old waiting around in the freezing cold, want to keep warm. Frank.
