pigeon controller
Had a phone call yesterday mid morning from the farm that called last week that the pigeons were still on the rape. I explained to the farmer that I would cause minimum damage to the crop. I noticed that the birds were using a tree to sit in before landing in the rape, so I walked out to the tree in the field along the tractor tracks. The rape is not down just leaning over so I shot birds coming to the tree. I shot for three hours before it just died and picked up thirty nine birds. RedRobin
Hi PC, Hope this don't sound a daft question ??......... With the rape just leaning over ,so as to keep the farmer happy, how do you pick the birds ? Do you send your spaniel in to pick up all the birds at the end or ? cheers Rich
pigeon controller
Hi Rich, I set the hide under the tree shot birds coming into the tree so that they dropped below the tree which was clear. The dog would have damaged the crop. I could only take the shots that were coming into the tree.
